Drive Clean Colton!

Colton Electric Department chooses to be proactive in planning for the introduction of zero-emission vehicles in the City. CED is dedicated to advancing the adoption of electric vehicles and offers multiples incentives to help you.

Why Go Electric?

Thinking about going electric? There are multiple benefits to driving an electric vehicle such as:

  • Cleaner Air: Electric vehicles run on battery power, therefore do not emit the same toxic pollutants as their traditional internal combustion engine vehicle counterparts.
  • Lower Maintenance Costs: Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts, run on an electric motor and do not require any oil changes.  Home Recharging: Owning an electric vehicle allows you to recharge at the convenience of your own home, eliminating the need for trips to the gas station. Simply plug in your EV into your existing wall outlet and recharge overnight!
