2022 Code Information Bulletin (PDF)

New 2022 Energy Code Requirements Effective January 1, 2023

California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards are updated on an approximately three-year cycle. The Standards will continue to improve upon the current 2019 Standards for new construction of, and additions and alterations to, residential and nonresidential buildings. The 2022 Standards will go into effect on January 1, 2023.
