Cooley Power Outage - 19 August 2021

MESSAGE FROM

MAYOR FRANK NAVARRO AND CITY MANAGER BILL SMITH

As of about 8:08 pm on 8/19/21, all circuits have been restored.

For Colton residents currently being affected by the power outage in the Cooley Ranch area, we sincerely apologize for this situation that has caused inconvenience and frustration. We have had a very unique series of events occur, including vandalism, which has damaged a Colton Electric Substation that provides power in the area. City Staff has been working around-the-clock at the substation to remedy the situation, and we are working several plans at the same time to get power in your homes back-up soon as possible.

Please DO NOT call 911 for information.

REIMBURSEMENT

We realize that extended power outages can cause a loss of perishable food items. You will be able to file a claim through the Colton City Clerk’s Office in order to be reimbursed for your losses.

The form is accessible HERE.

Please save your receipts for food items purchased. One claim per household will be considered, and an amount limit will be established.
